Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for consultations and services purchased from Academic Quality Management UK Ltd. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. We want you to be happy with our service, so if anything is wrong, please contact us at hello@academicqualitymanagement.co.uk and we will do our best to put it right.

1. Consultations

If you need to reschedule or cancel your 45-minute consultation, please let us know at least 24 hours before the scheduled time, and we will reschedule it or, if you prefer, refund your fee in full. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, are non-refundable — though we will always try to be reasonable where there are genuine exceptional circumstances.

2. Services and projects

  • If you cancel before we have started work, we will refund any fees you have paid in full.
  • If you cancel after work has started, you will be charged a fair amount for the work completed up to that point, and we will refund any balance.
  • Once a service has been fully delivered, it is not normally refundable, unless we have not provided the service with reasonable care and skill (see section 4).

3. Your statutory rights (consumers)

If you are a consumer (an individual buying for purposes outside a business), you have a legal right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel a contract bought at a distance within 14 days, without giving a reason. If you ask us to begin the service during this period, you may need to pay for any work carried out up to the point you cancel, and you lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed. These statutory rights are in addition to anything in this policy. Most of our clients are organisations (businesses), for whom these particular consumer rights do not apply; in that case, the terms in sections 1 and 2 above and in our Terms & Conditions apply.

4. If something is wrong

If you believe a service has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill, or is not as described, please contact us as soon as possible. We will work with you to put it right, and where appropriate we may offer to redo the work or provide a refund.

5. How refunds are paid

Any refund will be made to your original payment method through our payment provider, Stripe, normally within 14 days of agreeing the refund with you.

6. How to request a cancellation or refund

To cancel a booking or request a refund, please email us at hello@academicqualitymanagement.co.uk with your name, the service or consultation concerned, and the date of purchase.
